With over three decades of experience in sourcing high performance MIL-spec alloys for the US Navy, US Coast Guard and General Dynamics’ Electric Boat submarine construction, Stephen has a lifetime of experience in the government contract world. He has served as CEO of several companies servicing Huntington Ingalls, Bath Iron Works, Newport News among others. He was team lead on providing high magnesium alloys for the first Littoral Combat Ship for General Dynamics. He has also facilitated supply chain solutions for small to medium-sized American shipbuilders. The companies he has managed include metal distributors and service centers with operations across the US as well as internationally.
Serving as CFO for several companies including a shipyard, maritime contractor, metals distributor among others, Alan has navigated the US maritime industry from the private commercial side to US Navy government contract experience. He has helped these companies scale while servicing customers who range from Kirby Marine and Genesis Energy to Huntington Ingalls and Bollinger Shipyard. He has facilitated sourcing alternative financing for several entities specializing in Jones Act projects using private capital as well as Louisiana state and local tax credits. Alan has also been an entrepreneur owning and operating a wine import company early in his career to which he still maintains a close connection.
